Glass-K/ET Series Caps Miniature Elevated Temperature

Circuits that operate in environments in excess of +200°C need to be compact, reliable and efficient. Glass-K Elevated Temperature (ET) Capacitors utilize a proprietary Glass-K dielectric and are available in three different K factors which correspond to specific stability characteristics and capacitance value ranges. All Glass-K dielectrics are fused into a compact monolithic structure and transfer molded in a silicone case.

Technical Summary and Application Guidelines

Tantalum capacitors are manufactured from a powder of pure tantalum metal. The typical particle size is between 2 and 10 ?m, The powder is compressed under high pressure around a Tantalum wire to form a ‘pellet'. The riser wire is the anode connection to the capacitor.This is subsequently vacuum sintered at high temperature (typically 1500 - 2000°C). This helps to drive off any impurities within the powder by migration to the surface.
